Several leading members of the first-team ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona have informed club president Joan Laporta of Nico Williams’

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have today provided a fresh insight into the situation.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Barcelona are very much back on the trail of wide-man Nico.

This comes after the 22-year-old’s agent made use of a meeting with Blaugrana sporting director Deco to make clear his readiness to link up with Hansi Flick’s side.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then also very much aware of Nico’s eagerness to seal a Camp Nou switch are several of those already at Flick’s disposal.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘There have been players in the Barça dressing room who have reportedly directly informed the president of Williams’ interest in wearing the Blaugrana.’

Nico is known to boast a close relationship with Lamine Yamal, as well as several of his other Barca-based Spanish international teammates.
