Barcelona summer signing to be registered with La Liga this week | OneFootball

A headline member of the summer recruitment list at La Liga champions Barcelona will imminently be registered for league play with the club.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Joan García as the player in question.

Goalkeeper Joan is for his part of course fresh off taking the biggest step of his career to date.

Following a dazzling campaign between the posts at Espanyol, the 24-year-old blocked out the outside noise, to put pen to paper on terms with Catalan rivals Barcelona.

Joan is expected to slot straight in as the Blaugrana’s new no.1 for next season, usurping both Wojciech Szczęsny, and Marc-André ter Stegen.

And yet, as of this moment, Joan is technically not in a position to take to the pitch in the colours of his new club.

This comes with Barca yet to register the shot-stopper with La Liga.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media this weekend is anything to go by, then as much should not be long in being confirmed.

As per a report from Sport:

‘From the offices of the Spotify Camp Nou, they are confident that in the next four or five days the situation will be solved and Joan García will be able to be registered.’
