Barcelona ended 2025 with a 2-0 win over Villarreal, which helped the team maintain their solid lead at the top of the league.
It marked an end to an extraordinary year for Barcelona, who have once again emerged as the most dominant team in Spain.
But it was an even better year for Lamine Yamal, who won several accolades while finishing second in the Ballon d’Or at the age of just 18.
The Barcelona winger, though, has another feather in his cap as he ends 2025 as the best dribbler in Europe, reports MARCA.
Over the last 12 months, the young forward has completed a total of 285 dribbles. To put his dominance into perspective, no other player in Europe’s top five leagues comes close.
His nearest challenger, Jeremy Doku of Manchester City, sits far behind at 155, while Kylian Mbappe completes the podium with 144.

Yamal’s ability to beat his man has become his trademark. In fact, he came agonizingly close to shattering a club record held by the greatest of all time.
Lionel Messi completed 297 dribbles in 2015; Yamal finished the year just 12 shy of that historic mark, securing the second-best tally in Barcelona’s history.
Yamal did notably beat Lionel Messi in terms of jersey sales in 2025, though, with a total sale of 1.32 million units.
Focusing on the current 2025/26 campaign, Yamal’s numbers remain untouchable. Despite missing multiple games between September and October due to a pubalgia issue, he leads La Liga with 69 successful dribbles.
The gap to the chasing pack is significant, with Mbappe being second with 47, while Vinicius Jr. and Nico Williams trail with 37 each.
In total, this season, he has already racked up 98 dribbles (69 in Liga, 21 in Champions League, 8 in Copa del Rey).
