Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal continues to manage his fitness carefully amid ongoing concerns over a lingering injury.
As such, according to journalist Carlos Monfort of SPORT, the young forward is not considering surgery at this stage, though the option has not been entirely ruled out for the future.
Monfort revealed that Yamal has been dealing with discomfort caused by pubalgia, a condition that can severely impact a player’s acceleration and mobility on the pitch.
Despite this, the winger is currently opting for a conservative approach as he continues to fight through the pain.
The report highlights that if the discomfort does not ease in the coming weeks, the possibility of undergoing surgery will start to be analysed.
In fact, Barcelona have already sought external medical consultations to better understand whether an operation might help Yamal in the long term.
However, for now, the club and player are in agreement that there are no immediate plans for surgery.

Yamal, who has become a key player under Hansi Flick, is aware that he is not operating at full fitness.
Still, his current plan is to continue with non-surgical, conservative treatment while monitoring how his body responds day by day.
If the pain fails to subside, only then will the feasibility of surgical intervention be considered.
For now, the situation remains stable.
“Everything is routine, but as of today, there is no operating room plan or closed intention to have surgery,” the report clarifies.
Meanwhile, it is known that Barcelona are working with the player, but the exact plan to manage his condition remains unknown.
Encouragingly for Barcelona, Yamal has been training normally throughout the week.
Barring any setbacks, he is expected to start this weekend’s La Liga clash against Elche, giving Flick another attacking boost as the team aims to maintain momentum.
