According to SPORT, the future of FC Barcelona veteran superstar Robert Lewandowski is now very close to being resolved.

The Polish striker will make a decision in the coming days and everything indicates that he will either remain at FC Barcelona or accept one of the proposals received from Italian football.

Pini Zahavi making moves

As per the report, the agent of the forward, Pini Zahavi, is already in Italy to hold two decisive meetings with Juventus and AC Milan before travelling to Barcelona to review all scenarios with the player himself.

Options from the Major League Soccer or Saudi Arabia are not currently priorities for the 37-year-old veteran.

The decisive stage has arrived for Lewandowski, and the striker wants to have alternatives to Barcelona’s renewal offer in case he ultimately decides to leave.

He is aware that his sporting importance in the team has declined and wants clarity about the role he would have next season if he stays.

The renewal would be for one year only, with a significant salary reduction in a contract model consisting of a fixed salary representing 50% of his current earnings, plus variables.

More than a financial issue, Lewandowski wants to understand Hansi Flick’s plans and how his minutes would be managed. He is willing to accept a more secondary role, but not a merely symbolic one.

This is where the Italian proposals come into play. Both Milan and Juventus aim to sign him by making a financial effort that would match Barcelona’s renewal proposal.

However, there is a key difference: both clubs are willing to offer a two-year contract, which would allow him to extend his career at the highest level and guarantee him a starting role.

In any case, Lewandowski would only consider offers from teams competing in the UEFA Champions League, something Milan are close to securing, while Juventus are not yet certain.

Lewandowski’s agent is currently in Italy to meet with both clubs. He was seen at San Siro this weekend and will listen to their proposals before travelling to Barcelona to speak with the player.
