A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has sent a message of support the way of teammate Raphinha.
This of course comes fresh off something of a disappointing start to the week for the Brazilian.
Raphinha was for his part amongst the Barcelona delegation to have made its way to France’s capital of Paris this past Monday.
As much came with a view to attending the Ballon d’Or ceremony.
The 28-year-old was for his part one of the standout players in world football over the last 12 months, boasting more combined goals and assists than any other Barca player en route to the club’s domestic treble in 2024/25.
Raphinha, in turn, was amongst the frontrunners to lift the Ballon d’Or.
In the end, however, the former Leeds United man was forced to make do with a 5th-placed finish in the voting.
As much sparked widespead bemusement amongst those of a Blaugrana persuasion, adamant that their side’s wing sensation was deserving of a top-3 berth.
As alluded to above, another member of Hansi Flick’s squad therefore felt it only right to send some support the way of Raphinha on social media.
Taking to the comments section of the South American’s latest post on Instagram, Jules Koundé urged Raphinha to use his ‘Golden Ball’ snub as:
‘More fuel to the tank!’
