According to Adrian Sanchez, Vitor Roque’s camp has stated that they are unaware of any negotiations with Saudi Arabian clubs. They maintain that the young forward is entirely focused on having a successful season with Barcelona.

This news comes amidst reports that Al Hilal are ramping up their efforts to sign Roque. Their manager, Jorge Jesus, is eager to strengthen the team’s attacking options and sees Roque as a valuable addition.

In the broader context, Barcelona are also looking to make a significant transfer move this summer. The club aims to boost their financial position to participate actively in the transfer market.

They have a few key targets in mind, including Nico Williams and Dani Olmo. To facilitate these potential transfers, Barcelona are considering the financial implications of selling Roque.

Barcelona want to recoup the amount they paid

The transfer fee that Barcelona paid for Roque is €30 million, with an additional €31 million in potential performance-based add-ons.

However, it is widely believed that any offer from Saudi Arabia would exceed this initial amount, which could help Barcelona recoup some of their investments.

Given the club’s financial needs, recent reports suggest that Barcelona would be willing to sell Roque for a fee exceeding €40 million.

Al Hilal initially expressed interest in a loan deal for Roque. However, Barcelona are not interested in a temporary arrangement.

The club prefers a permanent transfer to avoid any potential depreciation in Roque’s market value. They have made it clear that any deal must be for a fee above €40 million.

Despite all the speculation and discussions surrounding the potential transfer, Roque’s agent has reassured that the young forward is solely concentrated on making a mark at Barcelona.

This assertion aligns with the statements from Roque’s camp, emphasising that his current priority is to excel in the upcoming season with Barcelona.
