As part of their 2025 report, the Football Benchmark has released a list of clubs across the globe and where they stand in terms of valuation and Barcelona do not appear in the top three.

Real Madrid sit first on the list with a staggering valuation of €6 billion, becoming the first club in history to hit that mark, and have grown by 23% in the process.

Manchester City and Manchester United occupy the remaining podium positions at €5104 million and €5051 million respectively and a growth rate of three and four percent.

Barcelona’s stance

Barcelona sit in fourth place after the aforementioned trio as relayed via AS but are not far off from moving into third place.

The La Liga champions’ valuation currently stands at €4459 million and their growth over the past year was rated at 8%.

The report relayed that the primary reason behind Real Madrid’s staggering growth rate over the past year was the opening of the new Santiago Bernabeu and the resultant doubling in revenue on match days.

With Barcelona still spending on the renovations of the Spotify Camp Nou as a strategic investment, their current situation on the valuation chart is understandable.

Using the same analogy, however, one can expect Barcelona to have a significant raise in terms of their valuation next season when the Camp Nou reopens for the public even in partial capacity.

Despite being in a financially unsound position, Barcelona are ahead of European giants including Bayern Munich, PSG, Liverpool, and Arsenal by a significant margin.

With the team also looking more competitive than they have been in recent years, moreover, they can expect some big prizes through sporting success as well.
