Barcelona are tracking a left-footed centre-back for next season and are evaluating Betis defender Natan, formerly of Flamengo. If a deal materialises, Flamengo could receive a significant windfall.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Natan has been offered to Barcelona, who are assessing the feasibility of a move. The package is around €30 million, with potential bonuses.

Agent André Cury has already met sporting director Deco to discuss details. Betis will not facilitate a departure, given his important role in a season that ended with a Champions League place after 20 years.

As Flamengo trained him, they are entitled to 3.5 per cent of any fee via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism. A €30 million transfer would deliver about €1.05 million to the Rio club, roughly R$6.2 million at current rates.

Natan graduated from Flamengo’s Ninho do Urubu academy and debuted in 2020. After a spell at Red Bull Bragantino, he joined Napoli in 2023.

He moved on loan to Betis the following year, the option to buy was exercised in 2025 for €9 million, with a contract to June 2030. This season, the 25-year-old made 45 appearances and registered one assist.
