La Liga giants Barcelona could well prove the beneficiaries of a transfer domino effect kicked into gear by Arsenal on Friday.

This comes amid confirmation that the Gunners have come to the decision to allow Fabio Vieira to return to Porto.

The 24-year-old is primed to link back up with his former employers at the Estadio do Dragão on loan for the duration of the 2024/25 campaign.

So, why is this so significant when it comes to the European transfer landscape?

As confirmed by market insider Fabrizio Romano, Porto are only expected to give the final green light for Vieira’s arrival upon Francisco Conceiçao’s exit being confirmed.

This comes with wide-man Conceiçao locked in advanced talks with Serie A heavyweights Juventus.

In the case of Juve getting their man, and Vieira heading to Porto, the door will then be opened for Barcelona to pounce, too.

The Blaugrana are understood to be more than eager to bring in Federico Chiesa from the Bianconeri, who are in turn expected to push for a deal with their Camp Nou counterparts ahead of the transfer deadline.
