According to a reveal by X account @memorabilia1899, Barcelona are set to release a striking new fourth kit for the 2025–26 season, crafted specifically for clashes against Real Madrid.

Dubbed the “El Clasico shirt”, this limited-use kit is a nostalgic nod to one of the most glorious eras in club history, evoking memories of the iconic 2010–11 campaign under Pep Guardiola, a season that ended in Champions League triumph at Wembley.

While the full kit design has not been officially unveiled, key details are already making headlines.

Manufactured by Nike, the new fourth kit will break from the traditional Senyera theme that has been used for the past three seasons.

Not much is known

Instead, it will feature a bold combination of Gym Blue, Salsa Red, and Opti Yellow, a palette that steps away from regional symbolism in favour of a design loaded with emotional weight for culers.

The shorts will be bright red, while the socks will be predominantly blue with unique stripe detailing, further fuelling comparisons with the 2010–11 ensemble.

This design change reflects a growing trend of football clubs capitalising on nostalgia, tying modern innovation with historic sentiment.

When will Barcelona launch the kits?

Barcelona will also launch their 2025–26 home kit in early July, featuring a return to vertical blaugrana stripes. This time, each stripe will include a gradient blend of the two iconic colours.

Additionally, the club crest will move back to the left chest after having been central for the 125th anniversary shirt, a change that also harks back to the Centenary season.

Crucially, the El Clasico kit will be used exclusively in matches against Real Madrid, meaning fans will only see it in the two La Liga fixtures unless the eternal rivals meet in cup competitions like the Supercopa, Copa del Rey, or the Champions League.

No official imagery of the kit has been released, but early leaks hint at a design that captures both modern energy and emotional resonance.
