Hansi Flick’s side won at the Metropolitano, but the victory was marred by injuries, with relief over Ronald Araujo and a setback for Marc Bernal.

Both players were forced off with muscular discomfort. According to SPORT, Araujo’s issue amounted to a scare, while Bernal has a high ankle sprain that should sideline him for about 10 days.

If those timings are confirmed, Bernal would miss the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Atlético Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou, as well as the league derby with RCD Espanyol.

The expectation is that he could be available for the return in Europe, though not to start.

An official medical update is awaited.
