According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are currently in talks to extend Pedri’s contract and although the discussions are progressing positively, the exact length of the new deal has not yet been finalized.
It must be noted that Pedri still has two more years remaining on his current contract, which runs until 2026. However, the club is keen to secure his long-term future at the club and solidify his role as one of their key players.
The aim is to expedite the renewal process, with both Barcelona and Pedri’s representatives eager to reach an agreement quickly.
A significant meeting is scheduled for this Tuesday between Barcelona’s sporting management, led by Deco, and Pedri’s agent. This is the latest step in advancing the contract renewal discussions, which have been ongoing since April.
Barcelona hope to finalize the terms of the new agreement soon. However, several details still need to be agreed upon, particularly the duration of the contract. Despite that, the player is calm and confident.

There is speculation that the deal could extend until 2029 or even 2030, ensuring Pedri remains at the club for many more years to come.
It is to be noted that Pedri has been in excellent form this season, both in terms of his footballing ability and physical condition. His performances have shown significant improvement, and he is now one of the most consistent players in the squad.
Notably, he has featured in every single match this season, alongside key players like Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, and Pau Cubarsi.
His contribution on the field has been impressive, with three goals and two assists, helping to maintain his standing as one of Barcelona’s most influential players.
Manager Hansi Flick has placed a great deal of trust in Pedri, and the young midfielder continues to repay that confidence with his outstanding performances.
