A member of the attacking ranks at Villarreal is all set to pen terms with newly-promoted Levante.
That’s according to market insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Etta Eyong as the player in question.
Youngster Eyong has of course seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the Spanish media chatter over the last couple of weeks.
This comes after the attacker’s impressive form from the closing weeks of last season carried over into the early gameweeks of the new La Liga campaign.
Eyong, in turn, was named as a late-window transfer target on the part of none other than reigning Spanish champions, Barcelona.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the press on Monday is anything to go by, then the 21-year-old instead appears to be headed elsewhere.
As per a report from journalist Matteo Moretto:
‘Levante are closing in on Villarreal’s Karl Etta Eyong. Negotiations are at an advanced stage.’
