Barcelona ‘to target’ Grimaldo this summer?

Sport reports that Barcelona have placed Alex Grimaldo high on their shortlist for the summer window.

Since joining Bayer 04 Leverkusen from Benfica in 2023, the left-back has been regularly linked with a return to Spain.

The 30-year-old has previously said he wants to play in Spain before the end of his career, and he may get that chance next season.

With one year left on his contract, Leverkusen could consider a sale if Barcelona firm up interest at the end of the season.

A deal could be struck for just under €15 million.

Grimaldo has 12 goals and 11 assists in 38 games in all competitions so far this season.
