As per Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are in the market for a right-back this summer. The La Liga side are happy with France international Jules Koundé (26), however, given the hectic calendar that will once again await Hansi Flick’s side next season, reinforcements are sought in this sector of the pitch.
Amid Barça’s search for a right-back, a target has been identified – Vanderson (23). The Brazil international plies his trade for AS Monaco and has previously been the subject of interest from Premier League sides. The Spanish side appreciate Vanderson’s versatility with the player also capable of playing on the left, whilst he is also a rounded profile, strong in both offensive and defensive phases.
As per Romano, Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has a strong relationship with Vanderson’s agent, Juliano Bertolucci. Whilst the Brazilian full-back would be open to a move to the Camp Nou, he is not the only name on the La Liga side’s shortlist.
