With less than two weeks left in the transfer window, there may be some exits taking place at FC Barcelona in the coming days.

The likes of Oriol Romeu, Hector Fort, and Inaki Pena are certain to leave, while the name of Marc Casado has once again begun doing the rounds as a potential candidate for sale.

Another player who appears to be garnering some interest in the final phase of the summer window is Gerard Martin.

Gerard Martin has offers but does not consider leaving

Indeed, according to SPORT, Gerard Martin has received offers from two clubs in recent hours, but the player does not want to leave under any circumstances.

In Barcelona’s planning at the start of the summer, the 23-year-old’s sale was more than a possibility. In fact, the club was open to selling him to Wolves when an offer of more than €15 million arrived, but Martin refused to move, and the matter ended there.

Now two further proposals have arrived for the player, but his entourage insists they will not even listen to offers during the month of August.

Barcelona not actively looking to sell

Barcelona have a clear idea of the moves they wish to make, but they will not take any steps to force the player out. Even less so after the departure of Inigo Martinez, which has left the left side of the defence with some weaknesses.

Hansi Flick has used Martin as a left-sided central defender during pre-season and sees him more in that role, where he plays with greater cover.

Since there is practically no possibility of making a signing, the continuity of the 23-year-old versatile defender is now almost an obligation, as it is very unlikely he will leave.

Martin, whose versatility is highly valued, will remain at the club until January. A decision will then be taken depending on the minutes he has played and whether his expectations in the first team have been met.
