The journalist, who is considered someone close to the veteran forward’s camp, adds that Saudi Arabia is currently emerging as the strongest destination for the Pole.

Lewandowski to say goodbye?

According to this information, next Sunday’s match against Real Betis could become Lewandowski’s final appearance at the Spotify Camp Nou in a Barcelona shirt.

The situation comes at a time when the forward has still not publicly clarified his future.

Although Barça remain open to extending his stay for one year, Lewandowski himself hinted after winning his third league title in Spain that he is considering different paths for the final stage of his career, including leagues with less competitive pressure.

The 37-year-old superstar has options such as Chicago Fire, Juventus, AC Milan and Porto. However, it seems like he could be headed for the Middle East.

Several Saudi clubs are preparing major offers in an attempt to convince the veteran goalscorer to begin a new chapter away from European football.

If true, Lewandowski will bring down the curtains on what has been an extremely successful spell at Barcelona.

Signed from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, the 37-year-old veteran has played a key role in the Catalans’ recent success.

In 150 matches for the club, Lewandowski has recorded a tally of 119 goals and 24 assists, winning three La Liga titles, along with some other trophies.
