According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have rejected the first Juventus offer for Ronald Araujo and want a massive €70m to sell the defender, more than double the opening bid.
The Bianconeri were confident they could get a deal done to bring Araujo in during the January transfer window on loan at a cost of €5m.
There would then be an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €20m plus €5m in add-ons.

Italian sources maintain there will be more intensive negotiations after the Spanish Supercup showdown between Barcelona and Real Madrid this weekend.
However, Mundo Deportivo suggest this evening that the Blaugrana have already turned down the opening proposal.
The big shock is their asking price, which is closer to €70m – more than double the cost of the suggested offer.
This also comes after Arsenal showed interest in the Uruguay international.
Considering his contract only runs to June 2026 and he just returned from a lengthy injury lay-off, it seems unlikely that Barcelona can ask for such a big fee to sell the player.
