Barcelona are looking to lure Manchester United teenage sensation Joseph Junior Andreou Gabriel, better known as JJ Gabriel, away from the Old Trafford club, according to the Sun.

Gabriel has been a key player for the Man United under-18s this term, with ten goals in ten games to his name.

The 15-year-old has trained with the Red Devils’ senior team, with manager Ruben Amorim a huge fan.

Man United director of football Jason Wilcox convinced Gabriel to stay at the club this season and next term, but Barca want him at La Masia and are making a serious effort to sign him.

He was pictured with Lamine Yamal during a visit to Spain, and the chance to link up with the Barca star, who made his first-team debut as a 15-year-old, could appeal to him.

Gabriel notched a hat-trick to help Man United under-18s defeat their Liverpool counterparts 7-0 last weekend.

The England Under-16 international grabbed an incredible solo goal, going past four Liverpool players as he twisted and turned in the box before firing home.

It is one of the reasons Barca want him, and the Red Devils will be desperate to hold on to him.

The teenage attacker could be in line to make his first-team debut for Man United this term in the FA Cup next month.

However, Gabriel still has plenty to learn as far as senior football is concerned and will not be rushed despite his huge potential and talents.

He will fancy his chances at the top level already having seen his agemate Max Dowman make his senior debut for Arsenal this term and become a regular name in their matchday squad.

Man United will have to convince Gabriel that remaining with them is the best decision for his career, but the likes of Barca will continue to keep tabs on him as they look to add him to their academy ranks.
