Ferran Torres’ future has been one of the talking points of Barcelona’s summer, with the forward attracting interest from across Europe.
PSG, in particular, have identified Ferran as the ideal replacement for the unsettled Bradley Barcola.
Ferran Torres, though, has always maintained that he wants to continue at Barcelona and is not bothered about his future. He made that clear this week, stating, “I see myself playing tomorrow’s match against Cape Verde.”

According to Cadena SER, Barcelona are keen on extending the contract of Ferran Torres, which runs until 2027. That means he is currently heading towards the final 12 months of his deal.
The player, for his part, is aligned with Barcelona’s goal and wants to continue at Camp Nou, having already done a fantastic job under Hansi Flick so far.
There was speculation earlier that Ferran could be included as part of a potential deal to facilitate the arrival of Julian Alvarez.
However, all indications are that he will not be used in any exchange, and that his future lies firmly at the Camp Nou.
Ferran enjoyed an outstanding campaign, scoring 21 goals and providing three assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.

These figures that have boosted his market value and cemented his importance within Flick’s squad. His role in the team now becomes even more important following the exit of Robert Lewandowski.
While Ferran was initially expected to serve as an alternative to someone like Julian Alvarez, Barcelona’s financial problems mean he may have a bigger role to play.
That is also why the World Cup becomes extremely important for Ferran. If he can prove himself capable of leading the Spanish frontline, Barcelona are likely to give him the opportunity to become the primary striker next season, without relying on the market.
Ferran is expected to start against Cape Verde today, especially with Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and Victor Munoz all carrying physical discomforts.
