Barcelona ‘well-positioned’ to sign English sensation | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have placed themselves in a strong position to sign Norwich City talent Ajay Tavares.

This comes amid the understanding that the Blaugrana are leading a host of clubs across England and beyond in the hunt for the youngster.

Ajay, for his part, is a 15-year-old attacker, who chiefly operates out wide, but is also more than capable of slotting into a centre-forward role.

Despite his tender years, the starlet is already an England U17 international, and plies his club trade with Norwich’s U18s.

Such exploits have sparked inevitable outside interest over the early months of the season, with several Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on Ajay’s development.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo late this week, though:

‘Barça, intensifying their search for promising young players to develop at La Masia, are well-positioned to sign the young English talent. They have moved quickly and effectively despite the competition.’
