In recent days, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of FC Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde.
It has been suggested that the Catalans’ sporting director, Deco, is considering the sale of the 22-year-old La Masia graduate in the summer while working on bringing in a new player in his position, such as Alejandro Grimaldo.
Providing an update on the whole situation, reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Barcelona are not actively trying to offload Balde in the summer.
Indeed, the Blaugrana have not placed the left-back on the market and still consider him an important part of the project being built by Hansi Flick.
However, the situation could change if big financial offers arrive for the 22-year-old, who is attracting strong interest from clubs in the Premier League.

Considering that Balde is a homegrown player, selling him for a big fee would be a huge boost for Barcelona in terms of Financial Fair Play.
As such, if significant offers come along for the La Masia graduate in the summer, Barcelona will not turn them down right away and give them some consideration.
As mentioned earlier, clubs in the Premier League are looking at Balde as an option for the upcoming transfer window.
Reports suggest that Manchester City, Manchester United, and Aston Villa have all enquired about the 22-year-old defender’s situation.
For now, though, there are no offers and no negotiations, with Barcelona not actively pushing for the sale of their homegrown defender, who has a contract with the club until 2028.
Currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, Balde has played 34 matches in all competitions this season, registering three assists.
