After a 3-0 win over Chile at the Maracana, Brazil will look to consolidate their position in the World Cup qualifying table as they take on Bolivia on Wednesday.
Heading into this game, though, coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to make wholesale changes to the squad, as he looks to avoid any unnecessary injuries.
As reported by AS, Ancelotti’s rotation policy could serve as a massive boost for Barcelona, as Raphinha is one of the players likely to receive a breather.
Heading into this game, Ancelotti confirmed that he will rotate.
“My idea is to make some changes. We’re evaluating the players’ fatigue,” he said. “We have to consider that there’s a component we need to evaluate, and this could obviously change the game strategy.
“Brazil has played in Bolivia and has experience; it’s nothing new for the national team. Our idea is to change the strategy and the players a bit,” he added.

And, it is expected that Raphinha will be one of those given a breather. Barcelona had earlier raised concerns surrounding Raphinha’s participation, citing that he played over 200 minutes of football going into the international break.
Raphinha, nevertheless, started in the win over Chile and wasn’t taken off until the 79th minute. The Barcelona star, after all, is considered one of the leaders of this new Brazil under the leadership of Ancelotti.
But as Brazil prepare for the Bolivia game, the former Real Madrid manager is likely to bench the Barcelona superstar, with Samu Lino the likely alternative.
This will serve as a relief for Barcelona, who would want to avoid the scenario where one of their top attackers picks up an injury in the last game of the international break, especially after the club confirmed a minor injury to Frenkie de Jong.
