A leading member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona was showered in deserved praise by the club’s supporters during their latest outing on Saturday.

Barca, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

Fresh off a trio of successive victories to open the campaign, the Blaugrana welcomed Real Valladolid to Catalunya, for a La Liga clash.

And, when all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops went on to make it a perfect four wins from four.

Not only that, but they did so in the most comprehensive fashion imaginable.

Owing to a remarkable attacking display, Barcelona racked up seven goals without reply, leaving a shell-shocked Valladolid to return home with their tails firmly between their legs.

Amonngst a whole host of stellar individual performances on the part of the night’s hosts, one player stood out above all others, in Raphinha.

The Brazilian was in unstoppable form across the 90 minutes, racking up a hat-trick, as well as an assist.

This caps off what has been a brilliant opening to the campaign for Raphinha, who looks a player reborn under new headmaster Hansi Flick.

And such endeavours, evidently, have not gone at all unappreciated on the part of the Barcelona faithful.

In fact, after the former Leeds United man was named one of the Blaugrana’s five-man captaincy group ahead of the season getting underway, on Saturday, he was showered with chants of ‘Captain! Captain!’ whilst in possession.
