Barcelona have been actively studying potential attacking reinforcements as they prepare for the possible departure of Robert Lewandowski.
With the experienced striker likely to leave the club as a free agent next summer, the Catalan side has been analysing several forwards who could eventually lead the attack in the coming years.
One of the names that has appeared in recent discussions is Dusan Vlahovic, the current striker of Juventus.
The Serbian forward finds himself in a situation somewhat similar to Lewandowski, as his contract in Turin is also set to expire at the end of the season.
Because of this, Vlahovic has been seen as a possible market opportunity for clubs looking to sign a proven goalscorer without paying a transfer fee.
However, according to a report from SPORT, Barcelona are not currently prioritising the Juventus striker despite speculation linking him with a move to the Camp Nou.
Reports suggest that although the Serbian could eventually end up in Barcelona, sources close to the Catalan club indicate that discussions regarding this option have been on hold for several weeks.
In fact, Barcelona have already started exploring alternative profiles, such as Julian Alvarez, as they look to reshape their attacking line.
Interestingly, Vlahovic himself had reportedly been very interested in the possibility of joining Barcelona.

The striker is said to have placed other potential negotiations on hold while waiting to see whether the Catalan club would make a move.
Despite this willingness from the player’s side, Barcelona’s sporting department does not currently view him as the ideal solution.
While the Serbian forward’s goalscoring ability is recognised, the club believes his playing style is somewhat similar to Lewandowski’s.
If Barcelona eventually move on from the Polish striker, the intention appears to be to bring in a different type of forward rather than a direct replacement with the same profile.
That is why the Vlahovic option has gradually lost momentum.
The only scenario in which Barcelona might reconsider the Serbian striker would involve financial limitations.
If the club were unable to fully comply with La Liga’s 1:1 financial rule, they might be forced to explore low-cost opportunities in the market, which could potentially reopen the Vlahovic route.
At the moment, however, that situation is not being seriously considered.
