Barnsley and Wigan Athletic are chasing Bradford City frontman Jake Young, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The 23-year-old forward has been on the books at the Bantams since 2022, but has made just 18 appearances for them so far.
Young spent last season at League Two side Swindon Town on loan and impressed with 20 direct goal contributions in 29 league appearances.
Now he is back at Bantams and League One sides are showing interest in the Bradford City striker.
The likes of Crawley Town and Stevenage have tested that water with Bradford City for Young already.
And now it has been suggested that Wigan Athletic and Barnsley are now in the race to sign Young.
The Bantams are interested in Latics midfielder Joe Adams and it could favour Wigan Athletic to strike a deal with them for Young.
Wigan Athletic have lost their opening two league matches without scoring one single goal in either of them.
Now it remains to be if either of the interested League One clubs will be able to secure Young’s services by the end of this month.
