While Manchester United appear to be racing towards signing Benjamin Sesko, it seems that the team are still looking to further bolster their attacking lineup after getting this deal over the line.

Given Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles up front and Chido Obi’s youth, Man United are in dire need of proven goal scorers with ample experience.

Still, even with Sesko fitting the bill, United manager Ruben Amorim appears to have a long-term focus, determined to continue attracting young talent to the club.

Negotiations get underway

United are closing in on Sesko, who is set to become their first striker signing of the summer should a deal get over the line.

As relayed by The Peoples Person, United are set to engage in negotiations with RB Leipzig in order to bring Sesko to Old Trafford.

According to this report, both sides are optimistic about getting the deal completed.

Despite such a massive signing within their grasp, United appear to be determined to continue their summer transfer raid, targeting a promising young talent.

Target acquired

“Numerous press reports have indicated that distinguished Malian player Bassidy Sanogo has attracted significant interest from English giants Manchester United,” Foot Africa reported.

“The player is currently enjoying a successful spell with Fiorentina’s youth team in Italy, and it’s certainly good for him to experience something new with a new team. Manchester United is expected to pay whatever Fiorentina asks for the player.”

“Despite concrete interest from Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, and Club Brugge, Fiorentina has firmly decided to retain their prized Malian talent, turning down all approaches for the player,” the article continued, suggesting just how highly Fiorentina rate the young Malian.

“The player, who arrived from Mali, is under contract with the Italian club until 2027, and Manchester United are keen to secure the talent at any price,” the article concluded, suggesting that a fierce transfer battle could get underway.

Remaining undefeated throughout their US tour to win the Premier League Summer Series, United have shown some promising form in their last few games.

With new arrivals such as Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon already making an impact, fans have a great reason to feel excited as United appear set to continue their transfer market shopping spree.
