Manchester United attacker Keira Barry has joined American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Bay FC on a permanent deal.

Barry came through the Manchester United academy system and she made her senior debut for the club in 2022. She enjoyed one further senior outing for The Red Devils before largely furthering her development away from the club. Barry has gone out on loan to Crystal Palace and Sunderland in a bid to get regular first team football.

The attacker has huge potential and she will be hoping to shine in America with Bay FC.

After joining Bay FC, Barry said “When the opportunity to join Bay FC came up, it felt like the right move straight away. After speaking with Emma [Coates] and meeting Matt Potter and the staff, it was clear that the club’s values, ambition and people aligned with what I’m looking for at this stage of my career.

“I’m excited for the challenge of playing in a new league, testing myself against top players and experiencing life in the U.S. I believe this is the perfect environment to continue pushing my game forward, and I’m looking forward to showing Bay FC fans what I can bring.”

Bay FC completed the deal prior to the closure of the English winter transfer window.
