News of the deal was announced via a post on Bay FC’s official club website this evening.
It has been reported that Bay FC have paid an undisclosed fee to West Ham United to secure the centre-back’s services.
The 22-year-old has spent the last three years with West Ham United after joining the club following the conclusion of her college career in the United States. She previously turned out for The Hammers during a loan spell from Arsenal back in 2021. In total, Denton has made 67 appearances for West Ham United in all competitions in which she has scored five goals.
Denton has been linked with a move to the NWSL for several weeks and she has now sealed her transfer to Bay FC at the end of the transfer window.
After joining Bay FC, Denton said “Bay FC is an ambitious club with a clear vision, and it felt like the right place for the next step in my career. The NWSL is the most competitive league in the world, and I’m excited to challenge myself against top players and teams. Having worked with Emma [Coates] before gives me confidence in the environment I’m stepping into, and I’m really looking forward to living in the Bay Area and playing in front of such passionate supporters.”
Denton’s final appearance for West Ham United came before the winter break.
