Bayer Leverkusen are interested in Manchester United wingers Antony and Alejandro Garnacho, as per reports.

Erik ten Hag has finally landed a new job following his departure from United in October last year. The Dutchman has replaced Xabi Alonso in Leverkusen.

Ten Hag’s first major challenge at the Bundesliga outfit would be replacing Florian Wirtz, who is expected to move to Liverpool, having already given the green light for the transfer.

The 22-year-old scored 16 goals and registered 15 assists in all competitions for the German giants this season, and it is not going to be easy to fill his void.

A report in Germany suggests Leverkusen may look for two new attackers to replace the exit-bound Wirtz.

According to Kicker, United’s Antony and Garnacho are being “discussed internally” at the club.

It is understood Antony has landed on Leverkusen’s radar due to the mark he left at Ajax under Ten Hag, who then spent nearly €100m to reunite with him at United. That move, however, didn’t pan out quite as he would have hoped.

Now, United are willing to sell Antony on the back of his promising loan stint at Real Betis.

The Seville-based club want to extend the Brazilian’s loan deal beyond this summer but the Red Devils want to raise funds with his permanent sale ahead of the new campaign.

Following Wirtz’s transfer, Leverkusen would certainly have a sizeable transfer budget to meet United’s demands.

Garnacho, meanwhile, appears to have fallen out of favour with Amorim, who is supposedly frustrated with the youngster’s attitude.

The Argentine is still very highly-rated and Ten Hag might relish the opportunity to reunite with him after handing him his senior breakthrough at Old Trafford.
