Bayer Leverkusen have made an audacious move to sign Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado.
According to Fichajes, the German club has offered €30 million to bring the young talent to the Bundesliga. The proposal includes €20 million in guaranteed payment and another €10 million in potential add-ons.
However, despite the significant offer, Barcelona have made their stance clear that they won’t consider selling Casado for less than €50 million.
Casado started the 2024/25 season strongly and was seen as one of Barcelona’s most promising young players. However, his role in the team faded during the final months of the campaign.
Increased competition in midfield and a series of injuries pushed him down the pecking order. This drop in game time has attracted interest from several top European clubs, with Leverkusen showing the most serious intent so far.

It is known that Bayer Leverkusen are preparing for possible changes in their midfield. Granit Xhaka is rumoured to be considering a move to Saudi Arabia, and Leverkusen are already searching for a replacement.
Casado, who is also wanted by Manchester United, has caught their attention as a long-term solution.
After selling players like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong to Liverpool, Leverkusen have the funds to invest in new talent, and Casado is high on their list.
The German club has already contacted Casado’s representatives to present him with a tempting project that includes regular playing time in both the Bundesliga and Champions League.
However, Barcelona are not in a hurry to sell, as Hansi Flick has not yet decided Casado’s role in the squad. But with Marc Bernal returning from injury, the competition for midfield spots will be tough.
For now, Barcelona are holding firm that Casado will only leave if the offer reaches the €50 million mark set by the club.
