According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayer Leverkusen are looking to offer Amine Adli a contract extension.
It is understood that Adli’s current deal at the BayArena is set to expire in 2026, having signed a five-year contract at the club after joining from Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse in 2021.
However, as stated in the report, Die Werkself have no plans to sell the 24-year-old, and there has been no contract with any other club regarding a possible move.
Therefore, the Bundesliga champions will look to tie the Moroccan down to a new long-term deal that would see him remain at Leverkusen well beyond 2026.
It is believed that the first talks between Adli and Leverkusen have taken place, with the discussions said to have been positive.
There is an expectation that a deal could be agreed upon imminently, and an announcement may be made shortly after the planned contract extension of midfielder Robert Andrich.
