Bayer Leverkusen, Wolves, and Crystal Palace stars on the transfer agenda at Manchester City | OneFootball

Manchester City hold a number of talents on their transfer shortlist for the ongoing summer window from within the Premier League and in the Bundesliga.

For the most part of the ongoing summer transfer window, discussions surrounding Manchester City and their business has revolved around the midfield position and specifically their interest in Bruno Guimaraes.

The Brazil international has seen a £100 million release clause expire earlier this week, meaning that clubs wanting to sign the 26-year-old midfielder will have to negotiate directly with Newcastle United officials on a fee.

However, while all the talk continues around Guimaraes, a new report has pointed out three other names that are of interest to the Premier League champions, and not being as widely discussed as other names.

According to the information of GIVEMESPORT’s Dean Jones, aside from the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Dani Olmo, the other player within the Bundesliga of interest to Manchester City is Bayer Leverkusen’s in-demand right-back Jeremie Frimpong.

Back in England however and City’s targets are not restricted to Bruno Guimaraes, with the report claiming that Wolves forward Pedro Neto is not only available at the right price, but also attracting interest from the Etihad Stadium.

Additionally, Crystal Palace and England international playmaker Eberechi Eze is of a ‘distanced interest’ to those at Manchester City, having previously considered the player during the 2023 summer market.

Frimpong is fresh off the back of a sensational campaign working under Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen, excelling in their Bundesliga-winning season, and now starring for the Netherlands at the ongoing European Championships in Germany.

As for Pedro Neto and Eberechi Eze, both men are expected to command widespread interest from within the Premier League this summer, but their focus remains on disturbing the plans of their international coaches at the Euros by breaking into the starting line-up picture.
