Bayern and Aston Villa to hold Palhinha talks after Friday's pre-season friendly

Sport BILD's sources understand that Aston Villa are still showing strong interest in Bayern Munich's João Palhinha.

The two parties have so far been unable to reach an agreement over the terms of a transfer for the Portuguese international.

Bayern are currently said to be demanding around €25million for Palhinha – a figure deemed too expensive by Villa.

However, this Friday, 7 August, friendly between the two teams will offer them a chance to negotiate for Palhinha face to face.

Even though the 31-year-old said that he wanted to fight for his place at Bayern, his entourage is still listening to offers.

If he sees no prospect of fair treatment and competition at Bayern, Palhinha would be willing to leave if he receives a convincing offer.
