Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen stopped short of guaranteeing Michael Olise will stay beyond next summer. “Making promises in this business is a tricky matter. Whether we can keep him permanently is something we will discuss again in the summer,” he told Sport1.

Olise’s contract with Bayern runs until 2029.

During the recent window the Frenchman was linked primarily with Real Madrid and Liverpool, yet the German champions labelled him not for sale and he remained in Munich.

“We didn't have any offer on the table. And we've always said we weren't interested. That's exactly our position,” he said.

“Olise is incredibly important for this team. He's a magician on this pitch,” he added.
