Bayern chief ‘to push’ Guéhi pursuit as race remains open

According to Sky Germany, Bayern chief Max Eberl has held fresh phone talks with Marc Guéhi in recent days, seeking to persuade the player to join in summer.

A meeting between Eberl and Guéhi’s agent took place at Säbener Straße a few weeks ago, the report said.

The German record champions are not backing down on the England international, whose contract expires at the end of this season.

Manchester City remain keen on a winter move, which could be Crystal Palace’s only chance to secure a fee.

Liverpool are pushing for a summer transfer instead, and the race for the 25-year-old is considered open.
