FC Bayern had him in their sights, Borussia Dortmund also showed interest: now it is clear that Rayan does not see his future in the Bundesliga. Instead, the Brazilian attacker is moving to England.
According to Sky Sports News, the 19-year-old is on the verge of a move to AFC Bournemouth. „Intensive talks in the last 24 hours“ have led to the final agreement, they say. The medical check is due to take place this week. The transfer fee is reportedly around 35 million euros, which is significantly less than the 45 to 50 million euros originally demanded, which Sport Bild brought into play in December 2025.
According to ESPN Brazil, FC Bayern had also recently held talks with Vasco da Gama. However, despite the interest from Munich, the talented attacking player has apparently decided to move to the island. At Bournemouth, Rayan is expected to fill the gap left by the departure of Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City. The Ghanaian’s transfer flushed around 70 million euros into the English club’s coffers.

The versatile left-footer scored 14 goals and contributed one assist in the last Série A season. He mostly played on the right flank, but can also play in the center. The Brazilian could therefore become a direct successor to Semenyo for the Premier League club.
The German record champions had been monitoring Rayan for several months and the early interest was made public by Sport Bild. However, the high financial demands are likely to be the main reason for the transfer falling through, even if the final transfer fee is now likely to be lower than previously assumed by various media outlets.
The fact that Bournemouth have now been awarded the contract prematurely is likely to cause disappointment in Munich. A youngster like Rayan could have given Munich’s attack additional flexibility and would have been a promising project for the future. Dortmund had also put out feelers in the meantime, but have now also come away empty-handed.
