Bayern Munich were among the clubs interested in Nick Woltemade when he was playing for Stuttgart, and they made a serious approach to sign the attacker. The German was also keen on the move, but Bayern refused to match the fee that Newcastle United were willing to pay because they believed he was being overpriced.

Woltemade eventually moved to England, but his first campaign in the Premier League did not go according to plan. He is now spending the season on loan at Juventus, who have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign. The Old Lady will hope he performs well and meets expectations during his time in Turin.

Bayern Maintain Interest

If Woltemade rediscovers his best form, however, Juventus could struggle to keep him. Calciomercato reveals that Bayern will reignite their interest and could attempt to add him to their squad during next summer’s transfer window.

The Bavarians remain interested in signing the forward and regard him as one of their leading targets to replace Harry Kane in the long term. That has strengthened their interest in Woltemade, and they are continuing to monitor his loan spell at the Allianz Stadium.

Bayern’s previous decision not to meet Newcastle’s asking price could prove significant if the striker impresses in Italy. A strong season with Juventus may increase his value, while interest from his former admirers could create additional competition for his signature.

Juventus Face Transfer Decision

Juventus want Woltemade to rediscover his best form, but they will only sign him permanently in the summer if the asking price is considered reasonable. Even if he becomes one of their most reliable players before the season ends, the Bianconeri will need to weigh his performances against the financial demands of the deal.

Woltemade’s future could therefore depend on how successfully he adapts to Serie A.
