FC Bayern are continuing to press ahead with the signing of Nathaniel Brown. The Frankfurt international is regarded as the desired solution for the left wing and has already given his commitment to the Munich club. Now a Bayern talent of all people could play a decisive role in the transfer poker

Talks between FC Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt regarding Nathaniel Brown are still in full swing. According to media reports, the 22-year-old is keen to move to Munich and has already given his yes-word to the German record champions

However, the biggest hurdle remains the transfer fee. The Hessians are demanding a total package of between 50 and 60 million euros for their top performer – a sum that even Bayern cannot easily afford in times of strict austerity

However, there could now be an interesting opportunity to make the negotiations more attractive for both sides

As reported by Sky, Eintracht Frankfurt are looking closely at Noel Aseko, the German junior international who is under contract with FC Bayern and is said to be very popular with the Hessians

Frankfurt lures Aseko with a long-term contract

According to the report, Eintracht have already offered the 20-year-old the prospect of a long-term contract. A contract until 2030 including an option for a further season and the prospect of regular playing time are said to be part of the offer

This would be an interesting prospect for Aseko, whose future in Munich remains open following his successful loan spell at Hannover 96

Although Bayern recently activated their buy-back option, another departure is by no means ruled out. Competition in central midfield is fierce and breaking into the professional ranks currently seems difficult

Last season, Aseko played 33 competitive matches for Hannover 96, scoring three goals and providing six assists. His performances made a lasting impression and attracted the interest of several clubs

Although the midfielder is highly regarded internally, according to Sky, FC Bayern are willing to let him go if they receive a suitable offer

Aseko could make the Brown transfer cheaper

The financial component is particularly interesting, with Munich reportedly looking at a transfer fee of between ten and twelve million euros for Aseko

It is precisely this amount that could now play a decisive role in the case of Nathaniel Brown

Should Frankfurt actually go ahead with the deal, it would be conceivable to link the two personnel matters. The proceeds from a possible sale of Aseko could be offset directly against the transfer fee for Brown

This would significantly reduce the effective investment for the left-back and, instead of a total package of up to €60 million, the price could fall significantly from Bayern’s perspective

Such a deal would also be attractive for Frankfurt, who would sign one of Germany’s most exciting midfield talents in Aseko and at the same time generate income from the sale of Brown

It is also interesting to note that Aseko has also recently been touted internally as a possible candidate to fill the gap left by Leon Goretzka’s departure in the medium term. However, the transfer fee now being discussed shows that those responsible also see a sale as an economically sensible solution

It remains to be seen whether the two personnel matters will actually be linked in the end, but one thing is clear: Noel Aseko could become an important trump card for FC Bayern in their pursuit of Nathaniel Brown.
