Bayern eye winter sale of defender

Bayern Munich are aiming to sell Hiroki Ito when the winter transfer window opens, according to Kicker.

If no suitable offer arrives in January, the 27-year-old could leave in the summer instead, one year before his contract expires.

Ito, who has played just 10 minutes across one appearance for Bayern this season, joined the club from VfB Stuttgart for a reported €23.5 million fee in 2024.

The situation is similar for French right-back Sacha Boey, whom Bayern were keen to offload during the summer transfer window but failed to find a buyer for.

Boey, who arrived from Galatasaray for €30 million in January 2024, has two years remaining on his contract.
