FC Bayern are currently being linked with several players for the defence. One name is Josko Gvardiol, who is extremely highly rated by the record champions. But this is where problems loom for FCB
It’s not just the fact that Manchester City’s price tag for the Croatian, with a transfer fee rumored to be 75 million euros, is a major factor
This is the interest of Real Madrid, which has now been confirmed once again by Alberto Pereiro, reporter for Onda Cero
According to Pereiro, José Mourinho is a big fan of the player and wants to sign him as soon as he is confirmed as coach. This is likely to be the case after the presidential elections, at least if the current incumbent Florentino Perez wins the election

But that is exactly what it looks like at the moment, which is why the first two Real deals for Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries are already being prepared. Perez has already confirmed during the election campaign that the corresponding transfers have already been prepared
In addition, he has announced that the defender market will continue to be monitored very closely, which in turn is an indication of a possible deal for Gvardiol. And Real would then try to force a deal quite quickly after the Mourinho signing in order to be able to pre-empt possible competition
Of course, this puts the Whites in a good position. Bayern would first have to sell a player in defence before making a transfer, and there are no signs of Hiroki Ito and Min-jae Kim leaving the club, at least for the time being
FC Bayern will therefore have to continue to be patient. A transfer in defense is considered desirable internally, but not an absolute must-deal.
