Bayern midfielder resumes running training

Bayern Munich midfielder Tom Bischof is making steady strides in his recovery from the torn muscle fibre injury that has kept him out of his side’s last two games against Real Madrid and VfB Stuttgart.

As confirmed by the German champions, Bischof returned to running training on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday’s DFB-Pokal semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen comes too soon for the 20-year-old, but his progress suggests a return to action may not be far away.

Bischof has made 35 appearances for the Bavarians this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
