Bayern started the match strongly, with great intensity, with Michael Olise firing a left-footed shot from outside the box, which went too high.

Luis Diaz then played a fantastic ball in the box, but Jamal Musiala could not keep his effort on target from close range.

In the 16th minute, Aleksandar Pavlovic drilled in a low-range drive with his left foot from outside the box, but Frankfurt goalkeeper Santos should have done better. It was his third goal of the season, showcasing his gradual development.

Harry Kane looked lively throughout the first half, and his left-footed effort from the left-hand side was saved by the goalie.

It did not take long for the England international to get into the scorebook. Harry Kane fired a header in from close range to score his 27th goal in the Bundesliga this season.

Josip Stanisic, who was always alert for overlap, produced a right-footed effort from the right-hand side, but it was saved by Santos.

Kane made an audacious attempt from distance but couldn’t keep it on target.

Jamal Musiala, who made his first Bundesliga start this season after returning from a long injury layoff, went agonisingly wide off target as he tried to curl in with his right foot.

The visitors barely created chances, and the best opportunity fell to Jean-Matteo Bahoya, but his tame effort from the left was saved by Jonas Urbig.

In the second half, Bayern suffered a huge blow when Alphonso Davies had to leave the pitch due to injury. He recently returned from a long ACL injury, and Vincent Kompany will hope it is not serious.

Dayot Upamecano played a delicate through ball after taking the ball near the opposition box, and while Luis Diaz hit it with power, his low effort was saved by the keeper.

Moments later, Michael Olise’s left-footed effort went agonisingly wide off target.

Kane continued to make his presence felt, and two quick chances fell to him, but Santos was equal to the task to thwart the danger.

Jonathan Burkardt missed a sitter from two yards out after a fantastic work from the right from Kalimeundo, and only managed to hit the woodwork. He could not believe how he missed from such a range!

In the 67th minute, Harry Kane produced a moment of genius, as he placed his left-footed effort from outside the box to score his 28th Bundesliga goal of the season.

In the 73rd minute, Kane fouled Jonathan Burkardt in the box, and after a VAR check, a penalty was awarded. He scored the spot, leaving Urbig no chance of saving that.

Frankfurt, with renewed belief and energy, looked for another goal, and Kalimeundo produced a great run with the ball at his feet but could not hit the target.

In the 88th minute, Joshua Kimmich gave away a terrible back pass under no pressure, and Arnaud Kalimuendo pounced on it to make it 3-2.

Serge Gnabry should have killed the contest for Bayern, but he could not finish from close range, much to the frustration of the home fans.

Germany’s World Cup hero, Mario Gotze, nearly equalised for Frankfurt in dying moments of the match, but his effort went over the bar.
