Liverpool are one of the most well-known teams in the world.

When the Reds want to sign a player, they often get their deals over the line fairly quickly due to the stature of the club.

In fact, that's one of the main reasons why Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak both chose to join Liverpool over other interested clubs last summer.

And, even though neither of them performed all that well, the fact that Liverpool, as a team, have that much swing over players is bound to be a good thing.

However, over the last couple of years, other clubs have started to embarrass Liverpool with Real Madrid even managing to prise two of their first-team players away on free transfers.

Indeed, their performances during the 2025-26 season were far from ideal which may have played a hand in Ibrahima Konate's choice to exit Anfield but, at the moment, they should be looking to rebuild their ranks, rather than let more players go and get beaten to some of their dream transfers.

Unfortunately, that isn't the case at the moment with Liverpool looking likely to be left rather red-faced by another one of Europe's elite.

Bayern Munich want to sign Bradley Barcola this summer

When Liverpool's deal for Yan Diomande was ruled out, the first name that popped up as a potential back-up target was Bradley Barcola.

This made plenty of sense, especially since it was Paris Saint-Germain who Diomande said he'd rather join.

So, from that point on, most Liverpool fans expected Barcola to become a Liverpool player this summer.

But, over the last couple of weeks, little-to-no movement has been made regarding Diomande's move to PSG so this has led to the Parisians not wanting to let the attacker go at all.

However, that hasn't stopped other clubs from showing an interest in the Frenchman with Christian Falk now sharing that Bayern Munich want to acquire his services.

"It is TRUE: Bradley Barcola is one of the names on the shortlist at Bayern Munich if they have to replace Michael Olise," he wrote.

"I reported last summer that there was an idea to sign the France international anyway. Even the summer before, the 23-year-old was considered a very interesting player for FC Bayern."

Bayern Munich could embarrass Liverpool by getting a deal for Bradley Barcola over the line

Much like Liverpool, Bayern are one of the most well-known football teams in the world.

The Bundesliga outfit are one of Germany's most successful teams and, if we're being honest, they also have a world class squad at their disposal.

However, with Real Madrid interested in signing Michael Olise, it's clear that, if Los Blancos manage to prise him away from the Allianz Arena, they'll need to replace him.

So, that's where Barcola comes in.

Even though PSG don't want to sell the 23-year-old, when Bayern get involved in deals, they often get them done and over the line, no matter what.

Last term, they spent £62.5 million on Luis Diaz with Liverpool thinking that the attacker had reached his peak and wasn't going to get any better.

However, during the 2025-26 season, he was massively missed by the Reds with Cody Gakpo failing to take the reigns and fill the void left by the Colombian.

Diaz, on the other hand, has his best season ever and contributed to 49 goals across all competitions, leaving Liverpool rather embarrassed about the decision they made on his future.

So, if the same happens again, it's going to be incredibly hard for Liverpool to turn things around and prove to their fanbase that they're still the team to beat.

Especially if they don't end up signing another attacker this summer.
