Bayern Munich cool interest in Nick Woltemade as they step up their pursuit of Liverpool’s Luis Diaz

Bild reports that Bayern Munich have cooled their interest in Nick Woltemade for now and will look to step up their pursuit of Luis Diaz.

VfB Stuttgart’s stubbornness when it comes to the price tag of Woltemade has made Bayern now focus on completing a deal for Diaz. If Stuttgart do not compromise on their price tag, a move for the 23-year-old could fall through.

As things stand, Bayern have decided not to submit a third bid for Woltemade.

Fabrizio Romano also reports that Diaz is Bayern’s plan A for the left-wing position, but Liverpool are also stubborn in letting go of the Colombian. The Premier League champions will require a large bid to allow Diaz to leave this summer as they still see him as a key piece of their squad.

Bayern also hold an interest in Malick Fofana. If a move for Diaz also fails to materialise, then Fofana will be the Bundesliga side’s second option.
