John Stones is attracting interest from Bayern Munich amongst several European clubs as he nears the end of his time at Manchester City, as per a new report.

Stones confirmed his departure from Manchester City in April in an emotional farewell video that prompted an outpouring of affection from supporters, bringing to an end a decade-long association with the club that has yielded six Premier League titles and a maiden UEFA Champions League at the Etihad Stadium

The 31-year-old will leave City as a free agent in June, with Pep Guardiola reminiscing since the defender’s announcement over travelling to London in 2016 to meet Stones in person before adding the Englishman to his ranks in the Catalan’s first summer as Blues boss.

The Barnsley-born star is also wanted by Serie A duo Juventus and AC Milan, who are said to be seriously considering a swoop for the centre-half ahead of the summer transfer window.

Everton are also interested in bringing Stones back to Merseyside a decade on from him leaving the Toffees to join forces with Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.

Stones departs alongside fellow long-serving stalwart Bernardo Silva, who confirmed his own exit in April and is understood to have indicated a preference of joining Barcelona.
