Bayern Munich are going to make significant changes to the attack during the summer transfer window. Thomas Muller will leave Bayern, while Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are also facing an uncertain future at the club.

Florian Wirtz is the top target for Bayern to strengthen the attack. The record Bundesliga champions are also looking to add a winger to the squad. It does look like Die Roten have identified a forward from Ligue 1 to strengthen their options in the wide position.

According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern are interested in Marseille winger Luis Henrique. Die Roten have been consistently scouting the Brazilian winger. Christoph Freund and Vincent Kompany were spotted in the crowd a few weeks ago to watch Marseille play against Paris Saint-Germain.

Henrique has been one of the standout players for Marseille this season. He has scored seven goals in Ligue 1 and chipped in with five assists. The Brazilian can play on both flanks and slot in the number ten position if needed.

Henrique is financially appealing transfer target for Bayern

The 23-year-old forward has a contract until 2028 with Marseille. However, Sky Sports have reported that Bayern can get him for a fee between €30-35 million in the summer. Christoph Freund and Max Eberl have already held talks with the Brazilian winger regarding a summer transfer.

Bayern have also shown concrete interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens for the wide position. The English winger will cost in excess of €60-70 million since he has several years left on his contract.

Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams is another winger Bayern have heavily scouted over the last 12 months. The Spanish winger has a release clause worth €60 million in his contract, which makes him another expensive attacking target.

Signing a player like Henrique will bolster the squad and help Bayern to allocate more funds for other key positions in the squad. Since Freund and Kompany have personally watched Henrique from the stands, it does look like he could be the first signing of the summer for Bayern.

The record Bundesliga champions are expected to push for Florian Wirtz in the summer since Muller is leaving the club in the summer. The experienced forward’s departure gives Bayern significant space in the wage bill to accommodate at least two summer signings. Wirtz is expected to cost over €100 million. Die Roten will have to raise significant funds to sign Henrique, Wirtz, and at least one central defender in the summer.
