Sky Germany has tweeted a quote from Lennart Karl in which Bayern Munich phenom Lennart Karl claims that he wishes to play for Real Madrid someday. The 17-year-old claims that playing for the Bundesliga record champions has been “a dream“, but that he would definitely wish to Real “at some point” in his career.
Karl officially signed his first professional contract on August 9th, 2025. The teenage talent’s current working papers with Bayern run until the end of the 2027/28 season. Ordinarily, the professional representation of a player of Karl’s age is not made public. Transfermarkt nevertheless reports that Karl is represented by “Lucky 13” sports management.
Karl’s rise has evoked comparisons with Lionel Messi and seen him raise his estimated market value from €1.5m to €60m in the last six months. Karl has still not been called up to Germany at senior level, let alone earned his first German national team cap. Karl broke two Champions League records this season upon scoring his first UCL goal and again after adding his third.
Karl has also struck thrice in the Bundesliga. This leaves him tied with Nicolas Jackson for fifth place on the FCB squad’s current league scorer chart behind Harry Kane (19), Luis Diaz (8), Michael Olise (7) and Serge Gnabry (4). Karl has started in six of a possible 15 Bundesliga matches thus far during his rookie campaign.
