The local Münchener Abendzeitung reports that Bayern Munich are preparing to exercise a €2.4m buyback option on Hannover 96 loanee Noël Aseko Nikili. The German record champions have evidently found an internal replacement for the soon-to-depart Leon Goretzka. Aseko Nikili’s 2. Bundesliga outfit maintain a €1m purchase option on the 20-year-old.
The Berlin native joined the FCB academy in 2022 and spent two-plus seasons playing with the Bayern reserves in the fourth division. Nseko Nkili spent the second half of last season on loan at H96, but mostly featured for the reserves. This year, however, Nseko Nkili has developed splendidly for both club and country.
The midfielder has scored three goals and registered five assists in 21 2. Bundesliga appearances for his Lower Saxon outfit. He quickly rose to prominence with Antonio Di Salvo’s Germany U21s as well, working as both a midfielder and makeshift right back.
Over the past 18 months, the youngster has raised his estimated market worth from €700,000 to €6m. The Bayern brass naturally have no issues investing a little over a third of the young talent’s estimated value in his future with the club.
